The Monster Jam World Tour arrived at Perth’s Domain Stadium on the weekend to the cheers and smiles of local fans. The five tonne, 200 horse power machines took on a life of their own as they flew, crashed, raced and tricked their way around the specially created dirt course. The carnage which followed did not disappoint.
The afternoon session began with the famous Monster Jam Pit Party where adults and kids alike managed to get autographs and take pictures with the Monster Jam drivers and trucks. Lines to the merchandise tents were long but the crowd waited patiently and in good spirits in order to purchase t-shirts, toys and posters of their favourite teams.
Famous monster trucks like El Toro Loco, Zombie, Max-D, Grave Digger and many more were within arms reach of event goers before wowing the packed crowd in four main competition rounds of wheelies, freestyle, donuts and, of course, racing. The skill of the drivers is obvious but the behind the scenes expertise of the pit crews and mechanics can not be underestimated given the hard hits and high flying pounding the vehicles receive.
The Monster Jam World Tour Australia is a welcome event difference for those looking for a little excitement, the smell of exhaust and the roar of a beastly engine. Get Jamming.
